The Richmond Community Foundation holds endowment funds that have been designated for scholarships for Richmond students. These funds are from donations that members of our community have given to ensure that young people age 16 to 21 are supported as they pursue their secondary education.

Please click on the following form to be used for the RCF Scholarship Funds including: Etta Demerse (UBC/SFU or Kwantlen). Kronier Family (Community Involvement). Richmond Community Foundation (Community Involvement), and the Richmond Sunset Rotary (Must be pursuing studies in visual or performing arts) Please note the deadline for submissions for these scholarships is March 31st of each year.

Important

There is no requirement for a specific grade average for any scholarship and students who are pursuing trade and diploma courses are encouraged to apply in addition to those undertaking degree studies. The criteria for all the above scholarships include the following: 1. A permanent Richmond resident. 2. Canadian citizen or landed immigrant. 3. Applying to an accredited post-secondary school. 4. A demonstrated commitment to the community of Richmond. Notwithstanding the above, consideration will be given to those that demonstrate financial need. (Download Scholarship Application here)

Additional Scholarships Available: In addition to the aforementioned Scholarships, the Richmond Community Foundation is also pleased to be able to offer three additional scholarships:

Dr. Bud Sipko Scholarship - This scholarship has been established by the Sipko family for those wishing to pursue a career in the profession of dentistry. It is designed to support Richmond residents who are registering in any of the dentist or dental assistant professions. For more information please contact the Richmond Community Foundation.

Ethel Tibbits Scholarship - A scholarship established by the Richmond Review to honour the name of Ethel Tibbits, a pioneer publisher of the local newspaper and strong community Advocate. This scholarship is designed to assist women who require support due to family commitments, in order to upgrade their education and/or job skills. Walter Wu Scholarship Fund - This scholarship was established by the Santos Wu Family to assist Richmond Families who have a young family member who wishes to compete in sports at a higher level and requires funding assistance to help them continue their post-secondary education while pursuing their goals as an elite athlete. James and Ann McPhail Family Foundation Scholarship - This scholarship is designed to assist young Richmond students who wish to pursue a business career. For more information on how to apply, please go to the Kwantlen Polytechnic University website. www.kwantlen.bc.ca/university)
